Sheffield Vegan Market

Sunday 10th November

The Sheffield Vegan Market returns to take over The Moor shopping precinct, adjacent to the Moor Market and right in the centre of the city.

The event brings together a huge variety of vegan street food vendors, artisan bakers, craft brewers, ethical jewellers, sustainable chandlers, local artists, zero-waste champions, environmental charities and loads more.

A shout-out to Hideaway and its new owners

We had the pleasure of trying Hideaway for the first time last week. Now under new ownership this hidden gem in the city centre describes itself as a speakeasy bar and events venue. Its quirky, cosy interior and attentive service offer a refreshing alternative to the popular food hall vibe.

Open Wednesday to Sunday, this absolute find offers sensational small plates menu and Sunday lunches. The kitchen is run by Project Huldu, the same team behind Project Norse at Steel Yard.

We had a generously sized cheeseboard for £10 and a delicious bottle of Sauv Blanc for £20, so very reasonably priced. We loved the atmosphere and were so well looked after; we can’t wait to visit again in November!

Rex Market.

24th November

Named after the founder’s dog Rex, this carefully curated independent market is situated in Neepsend and features various super-talented local makers and delicious street food and drinks vendors.

This month it’s their Christmas special so a perfect activity for a lazy Sunday morning stroll (no surprise it is dog-friendly!) Enjoy a coffee and stock up on Christmas gifts from local makers. Find out more.

(It’s very difficult to park down in Neepsend these days due to new parking restrictions, so walking or taking public transport is recommended.)

Shop local this Christmas

A big part of our ethos is supporting independent venues in Sheffield and encouraging residents to spend their cash in the local economy.

A unique and memorable gift, buying one of our experience vouchers not only supports our small business (thanks!) but also the venues we work with. A gifting win-win, it’s a more sustainable present that’s better for the environment and also invests in our city!

Gift Experience Vouchers are available for all our tours including the Cookery School and come in either a digital email format or a luxury postal gift voucher.

We have extended the validity to 13 months (rather than 12) for those who like to get their Christmas shopping done early.
