Blend Culinary Foundation Cookery School & Moor Market Experience

In partnership with Blend Culinary Foundation at Cambridge Street Collective

An immersive cookery school experience where guests source fresh seasonal ingredients from The Moor Market to cook under the expert guidance of a Blend Culinary Foundation Chef. The first of its kind in Sheffield, this fantastic new shop & cook experience concludes with a glass of wine or beer and a communal sit-down lunch where guests sample their creations.

Join us on this new once-a-month themed shop and cook experience where guests can develop their cookery skills whilst learning about a particular style of international cuisine.

Guests will be taken on a tour of The Moor Market where they will source ingredients to cook in the state-of-the-art 18-station kitchen at Blend Culinary Foundation, learning new cooking skills under the expert tutelage of Chef Wendy O’Brien (previously of Michelin starred Le Gavroche under the Roux brothers – read her profile).

A collaboration between Sheffield Food Tours and Blend Culinary Foundation at Cambridge Street Collective, each month we will be showcasing a different national cuisine starting with S.E Asian in September, Middle Eastern in October, Indian in November and a Christmas Special in December.

The Cookery School Experience is also available to book as private corporate event. (Monday - Thursday - please enquire directly for availability).

  • This fabulous foodie experience starts at 9.15am on a Saturday, where guests will be briefed over a coffee and a pastry before being accompanied to The Moor Market. Here they will be introduced to local vendors and seasonal produce by one of our tour guides before going away to choose their own ingredients for their dish.

On return to the state-of-the-art 18-station kitchen at Blend Culinary Foundation, guests then enjoy a cooking demonstration under the expert tutelage of Chef Wendy (Michelin trained at Le Gavroche under the Roux brothers – read her profile). Here guests will gain new cooking skills and insight into the cuisine before going on to create their own dishes using the ingredients chosen earlier in the day.

After been shown how to plate up professionally, guests will then sit down to a communal lunch to enjoy the spoils of the day. Depending on appetite, there should be enough to take home and enjoy!

A brilliant gift or day out for a couple, each month there will be a different style of national cuisine including S.E Asian, Middle Eastern and Caribbean – see below for a full list by date.
